Energy Services & Economic Assistance Programs
Community Action Wayne/Medina offers a variety of programs designed to support the needs of low-income people. The programs are designed based on community need and available funding.
CAW/M Housing programs are for low-income homeowners and renters unless otherwise noted. Each program is based on funding availability and frequently have a waitlist. When possible, multiple programs are used in combination on a home in order to achieve the most cost savings and help the largest number of households in both counties. At no cost, households can receive help with energy efficiency, weatherization, and/or health and safety home repair.
To apply for any of the housing programs, contact the main office at 330-264-8677.
The Home Energy Assistance Program (HEAP) is a federally funded program that provides eligible Ohioans assistance with their energy bills.
Percentage of Income Payment Plus (PIPP) Plan is an extended payment arrangement with regulated utilities based on income.
Applications can be mailed directly to the State or completed at CAW/M at the time of other program utilization.
CAW/M is committed to providing programs for the unmet needs of our community. The programs available are based on the most recent Community Needs Assessment. Applications for all programs are available at all sites unless otherwise indicated.
