Community Action Wayne/Medina COVID-19 Notice

Due to the public health risks associated with the COVID-19 virus, our offices in Wooster and Medina are closed to the public. As a result, there will be no walk-ins. Please follow the guidelines below for each program.

We are available to conduct some business through phone calls, email and/or mail. Phone in hours currently are from 8:00am to 3:00pm, and calls will be returned within two business days.

All Head Start and Early Head Start, services are being conducted via virtual classroom until at least April 10th. For Head Start program and enrollment questions, please call CAW/M 330.264.8677 and leave a message. Car seat classes, Getting Ahead and R Rule classes are suspended yet life coaching is being conducted.

Housing and economic assistance services will continue as follows:
Please complete any HEAP, PIPP or Winter Crisis applications online at http://www.energyhelp.ohio.gov/ or call our appointment line at 844-493-1196 to schedule a phone interview.

Transportation for essential trips such as work, groceries, medical appointments and pharmacies can be arranged by calling 330-317-2206. To purchase passes through the City of Wooster pass program, please call 330.264.8677.

For emergency food please call us at 330-264-8677 and leave a message with the operator and someone will return your call to schedule an appointment for delivery.

Free tax return preparation has been suspended as the IRS has extended its deadline. The service will resume as soon as possible. Car repair funds are currently depleted. The assistance will resume as soon as possible.
