Recently, Kohl’s Department Stores in Medina and in Wadsworth donated books and stuffed animals to the Head Start program that is operated by Community Action Wayne/Medina.
According to Joyce Haynes, store manager at the Wadsworth Kohl’s, these items were surplus stock from the “Kohl’s Cares for Kid’s” program that allows customers to purchase certain items whose proceeds go to area children’s programs. The books and stuffed animals were from the fall and winter season promotion and were cleared to make way for the spring promotions.
Kim Keith, Programs Planning Specialist for Community Action Wayne/Medina, worked with both Kohl’s stores to gather the donations, and on February 26, Keith met up with Haynes at the Wadsworth Head Start Center to distribute the donations.
